Systems Engineer

About the Role

The Systems Engineer is a senior technical contributor and the escalation point for complex issues across our client base. This role blends deep technical expertise with project leadership, working closely with the service team and COO to deliver reliable, well-documented solutions for architecture, engineering, and construction firms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Escalations (40–50%) — Serve as the senior escalation point for complex tickets across Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, networking, and hybrid environments.
  • Project Delivery (30–40%) — Lead migrations, Intune/Autopilot deployments, Azure AD implementations, networking upgrades, and server virtualization projects.
  • Environment Stability (10–20%) — Develop and maintain SOPs and TSOPs, identify automation opportunities, and conduct proactive environment audits.
  • Collaboration (10–20%) — Work closely with the Service Team Lead and Customer Success Manager to ensure client outcomes are met.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a managed IT services or enterprise IT environment.
  • Deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Server, and network infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Strong documentation habits; experience with ITGlue or similar documentation platforms.
  • Proficiency with RMM and PSA platforms (NinjaOne, Autotask, ConnectWise, or similar).
  • Experience with automation platforms (e.g. Rewst) is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills.

Compensation

Base salary range: $100,000 – $150,000.
